Kendriya Vihar, Gurgaon, located in Sector – 56, was developed by the Central
Government Employees Welfare Housing Organization (CGEWHO), an autonomous
body under the Ministry of Urban Development. Total 1940 flats of seven different
types, namely, DX, C, B, A, AA,MS-M & MS-N spread over 39.4 acres of land were
constructed by CGEWHO in two phases and possession handed over to the allottees
in the year 2000 and 2002 respectively. Details of the houses under various types are:

There are two Community Centres CC-1 and CC-2 inside the campus, also known as Sahyog and Suvidha. Sahyog has Morni and Aravalli Halls and a kitchen. These may be hired for holding functions. KVAOWA office is located in the First Floor of Sahyog. Besides, there is an indoor games hall for Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc. Second Floor of Sahyog has three suits available for hiring on short duration basis.
Suvidha has Dhanvantri Hall and a Kitchen. Besides it has two rooms in mezzanine floor which are used for common purpose
The self-contained campus has all facilities inside. There are four shops in Sayog and two in Suvidha. In addition, there is a Kendriya Bhandar, Mother Dairy, Amul outlet, Safal, Sattva Sah Vegetable shop, Six kiosks and an ATM.
Campus is well known for its greenery with a number of parks and playing facilities for the children. There is a walking track of about 1.6 k.m. A reading room with newspapers and a small collection of books donated by the residents is functioning from Sahyog.
